Jodane Marion Woollums, 3, died just before midnight, June 26, in a Sedalia, Mo., hospital following a two-car accident June 23, near Warsaw, Mo., that claimed her parents' lives.

Suzie Woollums, Jody's twin, is still in critical condition at the Sedalia hospital.

The two girls are the daughters of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bill Woollums of Ames who were killed in the same accident.

Mrs. Woollums was the former Mitzie Loana Foley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Foley of Livermore.

The Woollums family had driven to Table Rock Lake for the weekend where they joined her parents and her sister, Mrs. Muriel Garrett and family of Pasadena, Tex., for a weekend of camping.

They were returning from the camping trip when the accident occurred at 13:30 p.m. Tuesday 10 miles south of Warsaw.

The Woollums car was struck head-on by a car driven by Theodore W. Lindsey, 57, of Kansas City, Mo., after Lindsey had attempted to pass on a hill.

Leona Eileen Foley was born March 27, 1940, at Hardy, to Iola and Robert Foley, and was killed in an auto accident along with her husband, William Woollums, at Warsaw, Mo., June 23, 1970, at the age of 30 years, 3 months and 27 days. She was raised in the Hardy and Bradgate area until her parents moved to Livermore. Loana Foley graduated from Twin Rivers High School and attended Waldorf College at Forest City,

She was married to William P. Woollums Jan. 21, 1966, in the United Methodist Church at Livermore. To this union were born two daughters.

Among the survivors are a daughter, Suzy, age 3; her parents; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Carl Underberg of Humboldt; two sisters, Mrs. James (Muriel) Garrett of Pasadena, Tex., and Mrs. James (Roberta) Gales of Fort Dodge.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 27, at 11 a.m. in the United Methodist Church at Ames, Iowa, where they had been members since her husband attended ISU. Burial was in Vernon cemetery near Hardy.

The oldest child and only son of Robert and Hazel Woollums, was born near Kellerton, Iowa, September 12, 1936, and passed away June 23, at the age of 33 years, 9 months, and 11 days.

Woollums and his wife were in an automobile accident which took their lives instantly June 23 near Warsaw, Mo. This same accident claimed the life of their daughter, Jody, June 26.

Woollums moved to San Diego, Calif., with his parents in 1953, and returned to Iowa to make his home in 1964.

He was married to Loana (Mitzi) Foley in January of 1966, and they were the parents of twin daughters born in December of 1966.

He served his country with the Navy and was honorably discharged as Petty Officer Third Class in the Radar Division.

He followed the profession of structural steel and in 1967 returned to Iowa State University to complete his education with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Operation. He would have received this degree August 22 of this year.

Survivors include his three year old daughter, Suzy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Woollums of Kellerton, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Dick Evans (Alice) of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Mrs. Bob Fuller (Janet) of San Diego, Calif.; one niece; four nephews; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Gilbert Gomsrud of Omaha, Neb.

Triple funeral services were held at Collegiate United Methodist of Ames, of which they were members. The burial was at Vernon Cemetery, near Hardy.

Pallbearers were LeRoy Wood, Ron Wood, Kenneth Wood, Robert Reiminger, Ed Lathrum and Dwight Jones.

Jodane Marion Woollums was born December 8, 1966 to Loana and William Woollums and passed away just before midnight, June 26, at the age of 3 years, 6 months, and 18 days, from injuries suffered in an auto accident which took the lives of her parents.

Survivors include her twin sister, Suzy; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Foley, Livermore; and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams of near Lamoni. Joint funeral services were held for Jody and her parents at 11 a.m., June 27, at United Methodist Church at Ames, where she was baptized. Burial was in Vernon Cemetery near Hardy.
