Mrs. Beverly Ann Meyer, 82, widow of the late Dr. W. A. Meyer, passed away on Thursday evening, August 25, 2005 at her home in Cushing, Oklahoma.

She was born on January 8, 1923 in Bode, Iowa and was reared and educated in Bode, graduating from Bode High School in 1940.

Beverly was united in marriage to Wilbur Meyer on December 25, 1941 in Humboldt, Iowa and to this union two children, Gary and Barbara were born.

The couple moved to Longbeach, CA, where she worked for F.W. Woolworth, while Wilbur was attending Palmer Chiropractic School and following his graduation in 1954 the couple moved to Cushing in 1955 and had lived here since. While in Cushing she had worked beside Dr. Meyer until he retired in 1990. Dr. Meyer preceded her in death on July 27, 2002.
In 1998, Beverly suffered a brain aneurysm.

She was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church. Her greatest passion in life was her husband, her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a caregiver that loved to take care of others. Beverly loved waterskiing, swimming and bowling. She also loved working outdoors and was a very positive person that never saw things as an obstacle only as opportunities. She inspired everyone around her.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Rollins and her husband Dave of Cushing and Dr. Gary Meyer and his wife Joy of Stillwater; six grandchildren, Karry Simpson and his wife Lisa, Karla Patterson and her husband Barry, Dr. Kasey Simpson and his wife Laura, Mark Meyer, Blake Meyer and wife Tara and Jennifer Meyer; four step-grandchildren, David Rollins, Denise Attaway and her husband Darrell, Danny Rollins and Ronnie Nottinghan and his wife Jessica; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Paul Lansing and Anna Luella Schultz Lansing; two brothers, Paul and Garman Lansing and two sisters Virginia and Donna.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 2 P.M. in the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer with Reverend Carlton Riemer of Stillwater, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery on South Kings Highway.

Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home (Source Davis Funeral Home).
