Services for Arthur Milton Monson, 71, were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bode, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Monson died last Wednesday at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Dodge where he had been a medical patient for two weeks.

Surviving are two sisters: Mrs. Ada Rolland, Osage and Mrs. John Jung, Lake Orion, Michigan. Born at Bode, Mr. Monson started working in his father's grocery store as a young man and later operated it for over 50 years. He retired six years ago because of ill health. He never married.
