Formerly of CRESCO - Janice Ruth Regan, of Charles City, Iowa (formerly of Cresco, Iowa) was sent to heaven on Saturday, March 11, 2023 to be one of God’s angels, at the age of 81.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Cresco, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco. Lindstrom Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Janice Ruth was born on Oct. 19, 1941 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard John and Dorothy Ruth (Burg) Wolff. She graduated from LeRoy High School in 1959. She continued her education at North Iowa Community College, receiving her CNA certification.
Janice was a home health aide for 30-plus years. She married William “Bill” Regan on Oct. 10, 1987 in Cresco. Bill was sent to heaven just a few short years later. She later enjoyed the company of her dear friend, James Shaw.
Janice enjoyed playing cards (especially 500 and euchre), going to casinos and spending time with friends. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she participated in the church choir and ladies circle.
Survivors include a son, Kevin Booker of Chanute, Kan.; a daughter, Rita (Rod Eppley) Booker of Charles City; four grandchildren, Tyler (Kelli Wright) Rule, Cassandra (Scott Griffin) Rule, Kyle Rule and Isaah Eppley; two step-grandchildren, Eric and Andrew Holzbaug;, three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hunter and Maci Rule; a sister, Lynette Hanson of Titonka, Iowa; a stepsister, Jackie Wright in California; and sister-in-law, Pat Wolff of Webster City, Iowa.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Regan (June 28, 1991); and a brother, Rolland Wolff.
