Jane Ellen Wood, 67, of Eldora, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Lourdes, IA with Father Jerry Kopacek celebrating. There will be a one hour visitation at the church prior to the funeral mass on Saturday. Burial will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.conway-markhamfh.com. Memorials may be directed to the family. Conway-Markham Funeral Home of Elma is assisting Jane’s family with local arrangements.

Jane Ellen Buckley was born on October 13, 1954 in Elma, Iowa to Garland and Norma (Boyle) Buckley. Jane graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Barat College in Chicago. On September 2, 1983, Jane was united in marriage to James Wood in Lourdes, Iowa. They had resided in New Hampton, Dyersville and Green Bay, Wisconsin before calling Eldora home in 2000. Jane was employed with Wolfe Eye Clinic for 13 years as a scheduler. She enjoyed the outdoors, her flowers, gardening, reading, baking, her pets and most of all her family.

Jane is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jim; sister, Patricia (Paul) Hibbs of La Crosse, Wisconsin; niece, Andrea Hibbs-Hall of La Crosse, Wisconsin and nephew, Andrew (Lindsay) Hibbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Norma along with aunts, uncles and her grandparents.
