CRESCO - Florence “Flossie” Jane Morrison, age 100, died peacefully on Sept. 5, 2021 in Cresco, Iowa.

Florence Jane Mitchell was born in Madison, S.D. to Harold and Marie Mitchell on June 27, 1921. The family relocated to Sioux City, Iowa and then Ames, Iowa, where she graduated from high school in 1939. She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and earned a bachelor’s degree in Institution Management from Iowa State University in 1943.
Flossie married Craig Morrison on Dec. 17, 1942. After he returned stateside following service in Europe during WWII, they settled in Keosauqua, Iowa. In 1959, they came to Cresco.
Flossie is survived by her husband, Craig Morrison of Cresco; daughters, Sue (Steve) Norland of Canton, Conn., Trish (Rod) Culbert of Faribault, Minn. and Mary Morrison of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Margie (Tom) Morrison of Lakeville, Minn.; and dear family friend, Libby Kestel of Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and her son, Tom.
