Shirley A. Butz, age 83, of Cresco, IA, passed away on September 9, 2021, at Evans Memorial Home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021, at First Congregational Church with Pastor Tim Sir officiating.

Shirley Ann DeMoss was born in Superior, WI, on November 30, 1937, daughter of Alex DeMoss and Leitha Stansbury. She loved the Lord and a follower of Christ. Shirley was a faithful mother in raising 5 children. After her retirement, Shirley made her home in Cresco. She was a generous gift giver who never forgot a birthday or special occasion. Her enjoyment of gift giving extended on to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Another gift she gave was volunteering within the community. She was very invested in her family, loved each member equally, and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events. She liked to set up a home and decorate it. Christmas was a special time of year for Shirley; from decorating to making a lavish meal and spoiling her family with presents, the Christmas season was her favorite. Shirley had a great sense of humor, beautiful laugh, and liked helping and visiting with people. Shirley enjoyed square and ballroom dancing, and traveling to different places.

Shirley is survived by her children Kim (Tim) Sir of Cresco, IA, James Clark of WY, Mark (Doris) Clark of Salisbury, NC, Dianna (Romeo) Marcko of WI, and Brad (Kelley) Clark of CA; 11 grandchildren; and many beloved great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
