Formerly of Cresco - Joseph James Wendl, age 86, passed away on July 3, 2021.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul, Minn..
Joe was born on Sept. 6, 1934, raised in Cresco, Iowa and was a graduate of Cresco High School. He was a lifelong employee of Chicago Great Western Railroad and Chicago Northwestern Railroad.
He raised his family in Rochester, Minn. and Winona, Minn. and later settled in Maplewood, Minn.
Joseph will be deeply missed by his son, David, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gertrude Wendl; wife, Delores; and brother, Richard.
