Mrs. John Spriggs, who has been residing with a daughter at Dunseith, N. D, passed away on Thursday of last week and the remains were brought to Cresco for interment, funeral services being held Wednesday morning in the M. E. Church conducted by Rev. Kerwin. The Spriggs family were residents of Orleans township in Winneshiek county until about five years ago.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Emma who was born Nov. 9, 1845 and died Dec. 6, 1916. She is buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
