Mrs. Andrew Wentworth passed away last Friday at their home in Friona, Texas, and her remains were brought to Cresco, yesterday, accompanied by the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Archie Merrill, who has been caring for her during the past few weeks, and a son, Alfred. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2:30 at the M. E. church, with interment in Oak Lawn cemetery.

OBITUARY.
WENTWORTH
Maria J. Hamilton Wentworth died at Friona, Texas, June 7, 1912. She was, born in Clayton Co., Iowa, June 4, 1854, where she lived until 14 years of age, when she with her parents moved to this county. She was united in holy matrimony to A. N. Wentworth at Cresco, Iowa, on December 31, 1874. To this union were born nine children, five boys and four girls. Four of the children died while young. Those remaining to mourn the loss of the mother are Mrs. R. J. Peckham, of Cresco, Mrs. A. A. Merrill, of Cresco, Mrs. Charles Holmgreen, of Thief River Falls, Minn., Walter, of Granger, Minn., and Alfred, of Topeka, Kansas. She also leaves a sister and two brothers, Mrs. P. A Frisbee, of Hudson, S. D., W. R. Hamilton, of Madison, S. D., and S. A. Hamilton, of Cresco.
She was admitted to the M. E church in the year of 1899, of which she has teen a faithful follower.
Mrs. Wentworth had lived in Cresco practically all her life, until five years ago when she moved to Texas. She had been a patient sufferer from a dread disease for over two years. When she was strong she enjoyed working for others. She was never happier than when employed in some service for her church. Surely it may be said of her, she has kept the faith and finished her course.
The sympathy of her many friends is extended to her loved ones in their sorrow.
