O’HOLORAN.
On May 23, 1905, at Jerico, Ia., occurred the death of Mrs. Michael O’Holoran, whose maiden name was Mary Norton. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bartley Norton and was born at Lourdes, Howard County, Iowa, March 28, 1871, where she lived and grew to womanhood. She might well be remarked for her happy and light hearted disposition which she carried from infancy to the day of her death.
She was married to Michael O’Holoran, of Jerico, Ia., on Oct. 20, 1896, at which place they lived continually until the present time. Three children were born to them: Lloyd, James and John, the latter now scarcely three years old.
Last fall she was stricken with a complication of stomach troubles for which she underwent a surgical operation at Rochester, Minn., which seemed only to prolong her life for a few months. She was a patient and hopeful sufferer, but when the end came she was fully reconciled to the Divine Will, and passed away without a murmur.
Her funeral occurred on May 25th, at the Catholic Church at Lourdes, Ia., in which faith she bravely lived and died. A procession of teams nearly two miles long accompanied her remains to their last resting place.
To mourn her early departure, she leaves a large family of brothers and sisters, a host of friends and relatives, three bright little boys and a kind hearted, grief stricken husband.
