Last Friday’s dailies contained the news that Dan Meverden’s wife had died while asleep in his arms at Mendota Junction, Minn., the day previously, while they were waiting in the depot for a train for Cresco. It is said that she was a Salvation Army girl to whom Dan was married in Minneapolis about nine weeks ago. The remains were brought to Cresco Friday evening for interment.
