After an illness of nine weeks death came to alleviate the sufferings of Elmer Mead at his home in this city Monday evening and with that blessed assurance he closed his eyes in peaceful slumber. Funeral services were held at the house Tuesday afternoon the remains being shipped to his old home in Doone{?}, Ia. for burial. He leaves a wife two small children mother sisters and brothers to mourn his untimely death.
