Services held tor Velma Keune, 95
Funeral services for Velma “Pee-Wee” Keune of Stewartville, MN were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24 at Vine Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Koellin officiating. Interment, was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Cresco. Vine Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Velma, 95, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at the Stewartville Care Center.
Velma Beatrice Powers Keune was born October 2, 1906 in Dolliver.
On September 30, 1930 she married Gordon Keune in Cresco, and they later divorced. She lived in Cresco until 1962, then moved to Decorah until 1966, and has lived in the Rochester area since 1967. Velma resided with her daughter and her family for 17 years.
She was a bookkeeper/nanny, retiring in 1967. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and WELCA.
She is survived by three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Velma was preceded in death by one daughter: Gloria Johnson; seven brothers: and one sister.
