Services to be held for Mabel Henry
Funeral services for Mabel Henry will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 5 at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco with Rev. Tim Sir officiating. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Albert Lea, MN at a later date.
Mabel, 99, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 at the Evans Memorial Home in Cresco.
Mabel Henry was born June 25, 1902 in Kossuth County, the daughter of William and Rose (Eaton) Berry. She lived most of her young life in Minnesota. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1923 and entered Nurses Training in Asbury Methodist in Minneapolis graduating in 1926.
She married Orr Henry and they moved to Cresco in 1941.
She was active in the nurses organization during WW II and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years. She was a member of the First United Congregational Church of Christ.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Orr in 1985, three brothers: Russell, Earl, and Thomas; and one sister: Hazel Cunningham.
