Larkin Meadows who went from here to Los Angeles, California, died at that place and his remains were brought to Cresco for interment Wednesday, and Thursday were laid to rest in Oak Lawn cemetery beside his wife. An industrious, hardworking, honest man at a ripe old age has gone to his reward.

Transcriber's Note: Oak Lawn records show he was born in 1815.

To the older settlers the following relating to an associate of 35 to 40 years ago will be of interest:—
