Iowa Plain Dealer October 12, 1897, FP C5

Olive Story, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. R. Story, was born in Cresco in 1875 and died October 5, 1897, aged 22 years. In the spring of 1894 she attended and took part in an entertainment given in Decorah where she took a severe cold from which she never recovered. For three long years she fought the battle for life, her parents sending her to Arizona accompanied by her mother one winter, and to a health resort in Georgia the past winter without arresting the fatal disease. Her courage and cheerfulness at all times, encouraged her parents to continued efforts in the uneven strife with the disease. Ollie, as she was familiarly known, was a bright and noble girl, full of ambition and life, and in her untimely death the sorrowing family has the the{sic} full sympathy of all our people.
