DIED.
OWEN—In Albion township, July 30, 1897, Ed Owen, aged about 57 years. The deceased was a native of Wales, coming to the United States in infancy with his parents. He located in this county several years ago, locating on the farm where he died. His funeral services were conducted by the Reverends Bowder and Morris, his remains being laid to rest in Pleasant Hill cemetery, at Lime Springs. A widow and four children survive him, three of whom reside on the old homestead, and one, Griffith Owen, at Winford, S. D. The deceased was a good neighbor and citizen, beloved by his family and respected by all who knew him.
