Kenny Henderson, 82, of Cresco, IA passed away at his home on Monday, March 21, 2011.

Kenneth Edward Henderson was born on May 12, 1928 in Hillsboro, WI to Elmer and Anna (Landsinger) Henderson. On May 16, 1953 he married Rita M. Norton at the Holy Trinity Church in Reedsburg, WI. They became the parents of two sons, David and Jeffrey.

Kenny worked on his father's farm before he became employed with Dairyland Power as an electrician. Dairyland transferred Kenny to Cresco in 1965, where he continued to work for the next 42 years. He retired in 1989. Kenny was also enlisted in the service from November 1950 to 1952.

For 19 years Kenny and Rita enjoyed traveling down south in the winter months. Most of his life was spent camping with his family. He was a guy who could fix or build anything and he loved teaching his sons and grandsons how to be as productive.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Rita of Cresco, IA, two sons, David (Joelle) of Altoona, Iowa, and Jeff (Tammy) of Cresco, IA, five grandsons, Kyle (Amber) Matthew, Jeremy, Noah, and Nathan, and four sisters, Lucille Bruha, Marge Kayler, Emma Corn, and Evelyn Judd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ronald and Harley.

Cemetery:
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Cresco.

Visitation:
Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Cresco from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, as well as one hour prior to services at the church.

Service:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame Parish in Cresco, IA on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.
