Quietly Married.
The 5th of Feb. 1917 at 6 o’clock in the evening, Father Lakomy united and blessed a happy couple. It was the evening when Miss Wilhelmina Margaret Koshatka gave a true, holy promise before man and God and became a bride and wife of Louis Robert Meyer. She is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Koshatka residing near Protivin while he the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Meyer of Oklahoma. They both are well known here as a good lad and lassie and were surely loved by all who know them as a high degree couple of good character.
We all trust that Louis will make a bright and happy home for the girl he has won. The bride was dressed very plainly and simply but was looking graceful when gowned in ivory white satin charmeuse georgette crepe and silk lace, with a long trail{sic} which finished the garment beautifully. The bride’s sister, Miss Clara, the maid of honor, was dressed in apple green silk and silk shadow lace and carried a bouquet of white roses, ferns and white bells. The groom was dressed in a rich dark blue sere and was attended by the bride’s only brother William, who was also dressed in dark blue serge. After the ceremony, a bountiful supper and greetings, the happy couple started on their wedding trip to Oklahoma, Chicago and other points. After their honeymoon they will start housekeeping on the groom’s farm near Cresco. A long and happy life is wished.
“A Friend.”
