MCELROY-MILLER—Wednesday evening June 25, at six o’clock a very pretty home wedding was solomized{sic} in the parlors of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Miller of 421 Fulton St. Chicago, Ill, when Miss Emma Louise Miller and Mr. Gavin Blair McElroy were united in marriage.
The bride wore cream china silk trimmed with valencinnes lace and pearl trimmings, and carried lilies-of the-valley. The bridesmaids were the Misses Carrie Viola Miller and Martha McElroy. Miss Miller was attired in pink batiste, and Miss McElroy wore white Indian lawn trimmed in point lace, both carrying tea roses.
Mr. Fred McElroy, brother of the groom and Mr. Earl Ledbeter an old schoolmate of the groom acted as groomsmen,
Mr. Walter Behal a very intimate friend of the family played the wedding march by Mendelssohn while the bridal couple proceeded to a bower of ferns and peonies, where they were joined in holy wedlock by the Rev. C. V. La Fontaine of the M. E. church.
After the ceremony the bridal party friends and relatives proceeded to the dining room where refreshments were served. The dining room was decorated in pinks and smilax. Sixty guests were present at the affair.
Mr. and Mrs. McElroy departed for the East on the following evening expecting to be absent six weeks. They will return to the city and make their future home. Mr. McElroy is an engineer on the Pan-handle division and Miss Miller was formerly a Cresco girl.
