Married.
BRUBAKER— CRAGHIILL—On Wednesday evening, Oct. 25, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Craghill, occurred the marriage of Jessie L. Craghill, of Minneapolis, to Arthur M. Brubaker, of Freeport, 111. At eight o’clock the bridal couple unattended took their places ’neath a beautiful arch decorated in white and green, and Rev. Holmes, in a few well chosen words pronounced them man and wife.
The bride was gowned in a beautiful but simple dress of white organdie over silk and carried white bride’s roses. The groom wore the conventional black.
The rooms were beautifelly{sic} decorated with palms, cut flowers and smilax, the front parlor being in green and white, the back parlor in green and red and the dining room in white and pink, ribbons being stretched from the lamp, hanging about the center of the table, to the corners of the dining table.
A bountiful repast was served from 8:30 to 10, to which about 40 guests did ample justice.
The presents were numerous and beautiful showing the great esteem in which the young couple are held.
The guests from abroad were, Mr. Fred Craghill of Austin, Minn, Mrs. G. F. Libby, sister of the bride and Mr. Mayer, a particular friend of the groom, both of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Ella Porterfield, a cousin of the bride, of Rapid City, S. D.
The band appeared during the course of the evening and rendered a number of choice selections, after which they were treated to their share of the bountiful supper provided.
After the wedding supper the bride changed her wedding gown for her going-away gown, which was an elegant suit of blue and gray.
Mr. and Mrs. Brubaker then look the 10:15 train to Freeport, Ill., where they will be guests for a few days, of the groom’s parents who hold a reception in their honor on Friday, Oct. 27. They will return to Cresco for a short visit before leaving for Minneapolis where they will be at home at 2507 Bloomington ave.{sic}
The Plain Dealer, extends many thanks for a large box of cake from Mrs. Graghill, and also extends congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Brubaker.
