8CANADT-BARTELS—At Maple Leaf Lutheran church, on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25th, by Rev. T. Wagner, Mr. Hermann Schnadt of Tripoli, Iowa, to Miss Sophia Bartels of Howard county.
The wedding was quietly performed in the presence of only a few friends and relatives of the bridal couple, but after the ceremony an informal reception and banquet was held at the spacious home of the bride’s parents, in which a large number of the young people of the neighborhood participated. The groom is a son of Mr. H. O. Schnadt, of Tripoli, who is well known as the the{sic} owner of some choice Howard oounty farm land. The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. E. F. Bartels and possesses all the qualities necessary to make a dutiful housewife.
The young couple will remain permanent residents of Howard county and will at once commence housekeeping in their newly built house on the farm near Maple Leaf. May they have smooth sailing on life’s voyage and may contentment and happiness be and abide with them always.— Elma News-Register.
