I'm wanting to pinpoint where old abandoned Burlington rail line crossed W55 north of Wayland. I found this railroad map in the Iowa Digital Library: https://digital.lib.uiowa.edu/islandora/object/ui%3Asheetmaps_2, and I'm looking for the orange line just North of Wayland.

In looking at Google Maps for something resembling an abandoned rail line and where it would cross the Washington - Wayland Road, and it isn't obvious.

My grandmother (Maude Fisher Miller) died as a result of a car-train accident at that crossing in 1922.

Is there someone in the historical society that knows that road, or do you have additional information about that railroad line. I'd welcome any additional information you have.

Thanks in advance for your help.
