Was Native of France; Came to U.S. 41 Years Ago.

Wayland- Mrs. Josephine Hirschy, 83, passed away Friday morning at six o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Wagler, Sr., five miles southwest of Wayland.

She was born in France and came to this country 41 years ago. Mrs. Hirschy lived on a farm southwest of Wayland until her husband died 16 years ago, having lived with her daughter since that time. Her daughter, Mrs. Wagler, and a granddaughter, survive. Another daughter preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sugar Creek church.

The funeral services will be at the Wagler home at 1:45 p.m. Sunday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek church. Rev. Simon Gingerich and Rev. Willard Leichty will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Sugar Creek cemetery.
