WILLIAM J. VANDERSNICK, 25, died Friday, Jan. 16, 1976, from injuries received in a two car accident on Highway 218 just north of Maple Leaf Drive.

The son of Robert and Edna Zihlman Vandersnick, he was born Jan. 9, 1951, at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Vandersnick attended St. Alphonsus School and was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. From 1971 to 1973 he served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Presidential Honor Guard. He was also a member of St. Alphonsus Church, V.F.W. and American Legion. Surviving are his mother; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Jack [Mary Lee] Donlan of Burlington, Mrs. Jim [Joyce] Elder of Irwin and Robert Vandersnick Jr. of Sarasota, Fla; two nieces and four nephews. His father preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today [Monday] at St. Alphonsus Church. The Rev. Paul Albers officiated with interment in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Organist was Miriam Messer. Bearers were Jim Kerr, Rodney Hoover, Ron Walgren, Rick Beavers, Bob Lamm, Gary Challen and Ronald Benge. Honarary bearers were Gary Anderson, Dennis Ensminger, Ken Myers, Rick Williams, Keith Messer, Curt Moxley, Marlon Myers, Jim Housel, Jay Wongstrom, Rick Trabert, Dennis Kunze, Ralph Kitch and Phil Kindig. A memorial has been established for the Christamore House.
