MRS. EMILY C. PASCHAL

Keokuk, Iowa., March 26 - Mrs. Emily C. Paschal, 87, a former resident of Keokuk, died Saturday {March 23, 1968} at 9:55 a.m. in the hospital at the Illinois Soldiers and Sailors Home at Quincy, Ill.

Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. A.H. Bauch officiating. Burial will be in Clay Grove Cemetery north of Donnellson, Iowa.

Mrs. Paschal was born at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, April 22, 1880, a daughter of Lewis and Caroline Street Fenton. She was married to Lewis Franklin McCoy in July of 1896. He preceded her in death in March of 1913. In 1916, she was married to Joseph B. Paschal. He preceded her in death in November of 1932. She was a retired employee of the State of Illinois having been head housekeeper of Manteno State Hospital. She became a resident of Soldiers and Sailors Home upon her retirement in 1955. She was a former member of the First Christian Church at Mt. Pleasant, American Legion Auxiliary at Manteno, and was an active member of the Daughters of Veterans for many years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J.E. {Ruth} Dose of Keokuk; a brother, James Fenton of New London, Iowa; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a son, Roy McCoy; two brothers; and seven sisters.
