DEATH OF MRS. MORSE

HAS BEEN IN FEEBLE HEALTH FOR YEARS.

Funeral Services Thursday Morning At 10:00 O'clock From Cookes Undertaking Parlors-Interment in Forest Home.

After many years of feebleness and failing health, Mrs. Daniel Morse passed away at the home on South White street Tuesday afternoon about 1:30. About five weeks ago she suffered a fall from the effects of which she never fully recovered. Mrs. Morse was one of our oldest residents, being eighty-two years old and having resided here since 1853 and is very well and very kindly known by many of the older residents; she has not been privileged to mingle socially much the past years, owing to ill heath. At the time of her death she made her home with her son, Mr. Charles Morse, and a daughter, Mrs. Emma Foster, of Grand Junction, Colo., was with her mother in her last illness.

Cordelia Maude Burleson was born May 5, 1834 at Belleview, Ohio, and departed this life March 21, 1916. She was married to Mr. Daniel Morse February 23, 1853 and came that same spring to this city where she has since resided. Her husband passed away about twenty-eight years ago. Seven children were born to the union, three of them dying in infancy. A daughter, Mrs. Alice Thatcher, died six years ago. Three children survive, Mrs. Emma Foster of Grand Junction, Colo.; Mrs. May Pfening of Morehead, Iowa, and Charles of this city. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the Cookes undertaking parlors in charge of Mrs. R.S. Galer of the Universalist church, of which church Mrs. Morse was a faithful attendant until failing health forbade. Interment will be in Forest Home beside her husband.
