Harmon E. Martin

Harmon Edmund Martin, son of Myron Bennett Martin and Hattie Helen Martin, nee Smith, was born near Olds, on June 2, 1890, and passed from this life at his home at 9:15 A.M. on April 6, 1934 at the age of 43 years, 10 months, and 4 days.

He lived on the farm one and one half miles northwest of Olds until he was sixteen years of age when he moved with his parents to the home in Olds. His entire life was spent in this community.

Harmon was preceded in death only ten weeks ago by his devoted mother. His father died March 21, 1926. Surviving him are his brother Loring B. Martin and nephew, William Lyle Martin of Richland, Iowa, and his sister, Edith Martin at home, one uncle, C. L. Smith of Fort Dodge, Iowa and a number of other relatives. A large circle of friends share in this bereavement with relatives.

Harmon was in the employ of the Mutual Telephone Company of Olds for six years, and sold papers and magazines for many years. In the daily tasks of life he did his part well.
