Sarah J. Howard, daughter of Hiram and Mary Howard, was born in Jefferson Township, Henry County Iowa October 13, 1841, died February 17, 1910. She was united in marriage to Samuel Hulme January 19, 1862. To this union six children were born. Her husband and four children remain to mourn their loss: H. H. Hulme of Jefferson, Mrs. F. B. Montgomery Trenton township, and Mrs. J. C. McCold and Mrs. Clyde Dutton of Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. Collier at Green Mound church on Saturday.
