Mrs. Estella Messer Funeral Saturday

The funeral services of Mrs. Estella Messer were held at the home at 1:30 and Greenmound church at 2:00 Saturday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. J. J. Pritchard. A male quartette composed of J. W. Wittrig, Allen Meyer, Warren Allen and J. E. Davies sang. Mrs. Leola Magdefrau was accompanist. Interment was made in Greenmound cemetery.

OBITUARY

Estalla Grace (Oswalt) Messer, daughter of Isaac and Martha Oswalt, was born Jun 19, 1885 near Wayland, Iowa and passed away at the Jefferson County Hospital March 28, 1934, age 48 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

On December 2, 1903 she was united in marriage to Arthur R. Messer at Wayland, Iowa. To this union three daughters, Mrs. Frank Farmer of Wayland, Iowa; Mrs. John Smith of Fairfield, Iowa and Mrs. Greyden Morrow of Ottumwa were born and who, with the husband, are left to mourn her departure. She is also survived by her aged mother and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, one grandson, and her father who passed away January 19 of this year. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and a large circle of friends.
