Mrs. Clara Hamilton

NEW LONDON - Mrs. Clara Mae Hamilton, 79, died Nov. 26 at the Sizemore nursing home. She had been at the nursing home for 22 months.

Clara May Robertson, Daughter of James and Mary Mathews Robertson was born at Danville on August 17, 1877, and was married to Harry Hamilton at Mount Union on Jan. 27, 1908. He died last March 2.

For 36 years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton lived on a farm two miles west of Mount Union. Mrs Hamilton was a member of Canaan Methodist church and of the WRC at Mount Union.

Surviving are two sons and daughter: William Hamilton, Mount Union; Lester Hamilton, New London, and Mrs. Dorothy Ralston, of Newton, and six grandchildren. Three brothers died previously.

Services will be conducted at the Elliot Chapel at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Paul M. McDade, pastor of the New London Methodist church, will officiate, and burial will be in Trinity cemetery.
