Leonard Fisher, 90, of Wayland died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at Parkview Home in Wayland.
Born Dec. 23, 1915, near Parnell, he was the son of Samuel and Mary Yoder Fisher. On Jan. 20, 1940, he married Lorene Wyse in Henry County. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Fisher was a lifelong farmer in the Brighton area. He attended Bethel Mennonite Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Jane Hochstetler of Shipshewana, Ind., Rita Burkholder of Bloomington, Ind., and Krista Kolkman of Winfield; two sons, Gail Fisher of Eureka, Ill., and Van Fisher of Brighton; seven grandchildren; 10 great–grandchildren; one brother, Vernon Fisher of Kalona; and two sisters, Luetta Johnson of Bogart, Ga., and Fern Troyer of Kalona. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, four brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Bethel Mennonite Church in Wayland. The funeral for Mr. Fisher will be at 11 a.m. today at Bethel Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Phil Slabaugh officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for Bethel Mennonite Church and Parkview Home or Hospice in Washington County.

Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements.
