Keith Harrison Baker, 87, of West Burlington, died at 7:10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Rosebush Gardens Health Center. Born Aug. 5, 1916, in Washington, he was the son of Hiram and Alice Grinstead Baker.

On June 14, 1941, he married Dorothy M. Lee in Kahoka, Mo.

Mr. Baker worked as an inspector at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown for 17 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a 1934 graduate of Washington High School. He was a member of West Burlington United Methodist Church and a former member of the Moose and Eagles lodges. He was field director of Southeast Iowa NCHA Camping Club. He enjoyed working with wood, going to craft shows, country music and going to Branson.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Joyce Baker of Burlington; one son, Larry Baker of Burlington; three grandchildren; five great–grandchildren; one brother, Richard Baker of El Paso, Ill.; four nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one great–grandson, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.

The funeral for Mr. Baker will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Wolgamuth officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Winfield Scott Cemetery in Winfield.
