Clayton A. "Slim" Arnold, 94, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.The funeral service was held on Monday at the Weir & Kimzey Funeral Home with the Rev. Hank Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include one son, Jimmie Arnold of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Vada Graber and Ila Allender, both of Mt. Pleasant, 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; two brothers; and two grandchildren.
