JOHNSON BROS. BRANCH OUT.
——
Will Have a Double Store Room.
——
WILL ADD NEW LINES OF GOODS.
——
Have Leased the Cooper Building Adjoining, and Will Carry a Big Stock of Ladies Furnishings.

(From Tuesday’s Daily.)

Charles W Johnson and Frank Johnson, the proprietors of the Racket Department store on the west side, are getting ready to branch out in a way that means business. They have leased the Cooper Building adjoining them on the south and will use that store room hereafter in connection with their increasing business. They have decided to put in a large line of ladies furnishing goods, and possibly a little later may add other lines of the dry goods business to their big department store. They have taken a long-time lease on the Cooper building. Work men began yesterday cutting two large archways, so that customers can pass easily from one room to the other. They expect to have the stock of goods on the shelves and the large department store ready for business about the middle of March.

It can be readily seen that an enterprise of this kind will be a distinct benefit to the town, for it is bound to draw trade from a long distance. A store of this kind is one thing that Mt. Pleasant needs and the Johnson brothers have been quick to supply the want.

These young men have been in business only a few years here, but their trade has steadily increased and they have repeatedly added different lines to their stock. But now they have decided to double their store and space and add this large line of ladies furnishing goods.

Mrs. Anderson, who has occupied the Cooper building with her millinery shop, will use the front room of the south side of the store for her goods. Johnson Brothers will use all of the north side and all of the center and back part of the 120 ft. building. Such enterprising young business men deserve the patronage of the people.
