DEATH OF JOHN DANFORTH

John Danforth, whose illness wsa recently mentioned by the World-Herald, died yesterday afternoon about 12:30 o'clock. About a week ago it was believed that Mr. Danforth's death was a question of but a few hours, but he rallied and hopes were entertained that he might ultimately recover for a time at least. The cause of death was valvular disease of the heart. The deceased was 62 years, 4 months and 26 days of age.

Mr. Danforth was born at Norway, Me., December 9, 1834. He was married to Miss Minnie Kilday in Woodbine, Ia., and removed to this city about thirty years ago.
