Rites set for Frank Fisher

Frank X. Fisher, 53, Route 4, died Friday evening, May 27, 1988, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center of Knoxville.

Fisher was born Nov. 17, 1934 in Modale to Robert and Lucile Thompson Fisher. He had lived 28 years in the Fairfield community, owning and operating "The Den" for 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War.

Fisher was a member of the VFW, Walton Club and the American Legion.

He is survived by his mother, Lucile Fisher Pospisal of Council Bluffs, two sons: Michael of Fairfield and Brad of Ottumwa, one brother, Harold of Council Bluffs, and one sister: Helen Engelken, Slidell, La.

The funeral service for Fisher will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Missouri Valley.

Family visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
