Fatal Stumble.
Rockwell, Iowa, Oct. 1.—G. W. Thayer, a farmer living south of Iowa Falls, stumbled and fell down a basement stair at Rockwell, and was killed. It is supposed that his neck was broken. He was on his way to Osage, and had stopped at Rockwell for the night.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Jan. 30, 1846 and died Sept. 30, 1897. He is buried in the Cottage Cemetery in Hardin County.
