Vivian B. Kulow, 95, Hubbard, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at the Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Services will be 10 am Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls. Burial will follow at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. Visitation is from 4-6 pm Sunday at Linn's Funeral Homes in Iowa Falls.

Vivian B. Kulow, 95, of Hubbard, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008, at the Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Vivian B. Kulow will be 10:00 am Monday, November 17th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls, with Reverend Kenneth Krueger officiating. Burial will follow at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. A time of visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at the Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel.

Vivian Burnesse Rodgers was born January 9, 1913 at Buckeye, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph Clark Rodgers and Louise [Nolte] Rodgers. She was confirmed in 1927 at Peace Evangelical Church. She attended the Buckeye, Iowa Community Schools graduating with the class of 1931. She then went on to attain her Registered Nursing Degree from Broadlawns Hospital Nursing School, Des Moines, Iowa in 1934. On February 24. 1937 Vivian was united in marriage to Martin Herman Otto Kulow. The couple made their home on a farm north of Hubbard, Iowa from 1942 to 1975 when they moved into Hubbard until 1998 when they moved to Iowa Falls, Iowa. Vivian was employed as a registered nurse with Drs Shurtz and Nyquist in Eldora, Iowa. She was first a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hubbard, then St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckeye, Iowa; and finally Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls. Vivian enjoyed her bridge and 500 club.

Kulow is survived by her sons: Kenneth Martin [Mary Lou] Kulow of Loda, Illinois, Norman Keith [Pam} Kulow of Hubbard, Iowa, David Eugene Kulow of Westminster, Maryland; her daughters: Kathi [Rod] Parrish of Coal Valley, Illinois, and Cynthia Kulow [partner Dawn Hutt] of Westminster, Maryland; eleven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; ten step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one step-great great grandchild, She was preceded in death by her parents: Ralph and Louise Rodgers; her husband: Martin Kulow; two brothers: Hillis Rodgers and Brighton Rodgers; and one half brother: Kenneth Rodgers.
