A Victim of the White Plague.
Edward G. Jennisch, a Decorah boy born upwards of twenty-five years ago, died at his home in Iowa Falls on the night of Wednesday last week. He had been ill for about two years, because of consumption following after typhoid-pneumonia. Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Jennisch. After leaving Decorah he lived for a while at Waterloo. The Reporter of that city says of his death:—Edward Jennisch was 25 years old. He leaves besides a widow a little daughter between 1 and 2 years of age. Mr. Jennish was one of ten children, all of whom are now dead, with the exception of W. H. of Waterloo, and Charles, of St. Joe, Mo. The father of the family died 23 years ago, and the mother followed a couple of years later. The children then began to pass away one by one until the ten have been reduced to two. Nearly all of the children died of consumption, but neither of the parents bore any symptoms of the dread disease, nor can it be traced to their ancestors.

Transcriber's Note: His last name is spelled two different ways.
