I am looking for information on some Smidt men from Hancock and Cerro Gordo Co. Looking to find out if Hensman Smidt, Ben Smidt, and George E. Smidt were military men. They are brothers belonging to parents, Henry and Emily (Heerkes) Smidt. Also, was Hensman born 1915 and died 1965 ever married? Also, does any one know if any of these men were ever married or engaged to Alice Ahlfs?
