From Doris' obituary, it appears that she had 4 living brothers, 1 deceased brother and 3 living sisters.

April 20, 1937 -- November 24, 2010

Doris G. Potter age 73 of Riceville, Iowa passed away at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage, IA on Wednesday November 24, 2010. Doris was born April 20, 1937 to Stoffer (Dusty) Fischer and Marie Lucille Haan at their farm home in Hancock County, IA. She attended and graduated from Hatfield Consolidated School as valedictorian of her 1954 class. She was united in marriage on May 1, 1955 to Dale M. Perkins. They made their home in Britt, IA. Dale passed away May 1 of 1965. Doris married Donald Potter in June of 1970, and they farmed by Forest City, IA until March of 1974 when they purchased a farm near Elma, IA. They divorced in 1986. Doris purchased a home in Riceville, IA. She was employed Mason's later Evenson's Food Market, the Riceville Rest Home, and the Charterhouse in Rochester, MN. She attended St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School & Bible School and was active in the Ladies Aid.

Her happiness came from her seven children and grandchildren. Doris is survived by her children: Arlene (Steve) Bugenhagen of Black Mountain, NC, Bruce D. Perkins of Rockyford, CO, Lois Sanders of Hutchinson, MN, Paulette (Tim) Hemann of Riceville, IA, Timothy J. (Tonda) Perkins of Ogden, KS, Dr. Dean & Dr. Rachel Potter of Rochester, MN and Dawn Cross of Buford, GA. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one older brother, one son-in-law, a stepmother, and one grandson.

Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Monday November 29 during the hours of 4-7 P.M. and one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in rural Elma on Tuesday November 30 at 10:30 A.M. with the Rev. Dan Christensen officiating.
