Died - at Forest City on Saturday, August 28th,1880, Mrs. Maria Nichols widow of the late Luke Nichols, aged 65 years.

The deceased has been in poor health for a number of years, and several weeks since she was taken so ill while in town, as to be unable to bear removal to her home, and she was taken to the residence of M. C. Halvorsen, where she died.

Mrs. Nichols was widely known and highly respected. She was a good wife, an affectionate mother, and her death will be sincerely mourned by a large number of kinsfolk and friends.

The funeral took place from the Congregational Church, on Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. D. Mason preaching the sermon and the remains were then taken to Crystal Lake Cemetery for interment.
