Young Boy Dies

Everett Townsend, who was suffering from acute leukemia, a rare form of disease affecting the blood, was taken to Des Moines last Saturday and placed in the Methodist hospital where he was under the care of three specialists. The little fellow was unable to recover from the disease and died Tuesday evening. The body reached Britt on the afternoon passenger Wednesday and was taken to the home west of Britt.

Everett was a bright boy and the pride of the home. He was conscious up to the last and died with a smile on his face. He was 3 years, 2 months and 15 days old.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, leaving the home at 2 o'clock and going to the Methodist church where Rev. W. W. Tyrrell will conduct the services at 3 o'clock. The remains will finally rest in Evergreen cemetery.

The heartbroken parents and grandparents have the sympathy of many friends.
