OBITUARY

Mrs. Ella Weltha

Mrs. Ella Weltha was born June 11, 1859, in Grundy Co., Ill., and died at her home near Randall, August 22, 1916.

In 1864 she came with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Knute Nelson, to Hamilton Co., Iowa.

March 27, 1887 she married Jacob Weltha. This union was blessed with 8 children, all of whom were present at the death bed of their mother. Their names are: Otis, Elma (Mrs. Bert Charlson), Clarion, Mabel, Josef, Henry, Leona and Amos. Her husband died June 27th of this year. Besides her children she leaves the following brothers and sisters: Betsy and John Nelson, Mrs. Magnus Romsdahl, Mrs. Carl Sparboe, Mrs. Oscar Larson, Dr. Mary Hotchkis and Nels Nelson.

Her parents and four sisters, Mrs. Thomas Cassem, Mrs. E. J. Risting and two that died in infancy preceded her. She was buried from North St. Petri church August 25. Her pastor, Rev. H. Solum officiating.
