Mary Elizabeth Wilson, 80, Webster City, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at her home following a lengthy illness.

At the deceased request, no visitation or services will be held. She was a member of the Neptune Society and her cremation will be carried out through them. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Asbury United Methodist Church.

Mary Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Vern and Martha Baxter, was born Sept. 19, 1921 in Webster City. She graduated from Webster City High School and also attended Webster City Junior College. She married John T. Wilson in 1945 and briefly lived in Tama, Iowa. After their divorce in 1953, she was employed at the Naval Base in California, then returned to Webster City where she worked at Crosley and Foster until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Evelyn Childress and her brother Marvin Baxter.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Royster of Prescott, two grandchildren, Mindy Royster of Ames and Mathew Royster, and several nieces and nephews, among them, Mark Childress of Hayward, Calif. and Marty Schmierer of Alameda, Calif.

Mary was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.
