Julia "Tiny" Bethene Olson, daughter of Roy and Kathryn (Conkling) Kiesecker, was born on October 23, 1924 in Webster City, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, except for when she attended Pleasantville High School for one year, graduating in 1942.

Julia was united in marriage with Curtis Olson on March 14, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Omaha, NE. After their marriage, they lived in Webster City until moving to Duncombe in 1977, to Fort Dodge in 1987, and recently moved to Omaha, NE.

Julia was employed by Fairmont Foods, Wilhelm Engineering and Dunn's, all in Webster City and was self-employed by Olson's General Store in Duncombe.

Julia was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. She enjoyed sewing, music and playing the organ.

Mrs. Olson passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Eugene and Duane Kiesecker.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis of Omaha, NE; daughter, Natha Tabor and husband, John of Omaha, NE; son, Marty Olson and his wife, Tesa of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Justin, Jerod and Adam Tabor and Brandon and Andrew Olson; three sisters, June Ades and husband, Sam of Webster City, Carrie Hoover and husband, Calvin of Fort Dodge and Joyce Hamer of Kingsley; sister-in-law, Annabelle Kiesecker of Webster City and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Visitation will be Monday 6-8 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City.

Memorials may be left to the Asbury United Methodist Church. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove is in charge of arrangements.
