Mrs. Hugh (Hazel) Thompson, 84 years, longtime Webster City resident, died Tuesday morning at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul D. Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Hazel G. Allen, daughter of Ethan and Eva Blake Allen, was born Dec. 17, 1894, in Webster City. She was reared and educated here and was united in marriage to Hugh Thompson. The couple farmed in this area; later retiring and moving to Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her husband in November of 1978. For the past two and one-half years she had resided at Southfield Care Center.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Marcelyn Senger of Flossmore, Illinois, one granddaughter, Mrs. Terrence (Marion) McElroy of Chicago; two great-grandsons, Brian and Christopher McElroy, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
