Harold Glenn Romp Dies In Story City

Harold Glenn Romp, 51, Jewell died Sunday, March 6 at Story City Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 20.

Born at Story City, he had lived in the Randall community all his life with the exception of several years at Cumberland, Wisc. He had been a farmer and a carpenter.

He was graduated from Randall Consolidated High School in 1933 and was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church at Randall. On June 24, 1941 he was married to Joyce Arlene Kolling at Bethany, Mo.

Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) March 9 at 2 p.m. from Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. The Rev. Quentin Quanbeck will officiate with burial in the Randall cemetery.

Becker Funeral Home, Jewell is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce, and seven children, John of Randall, Donald and Geneva of Jewell, Wayne of Stanhope, Clifford of Webster City, Mrs. Gleneva Solars, East Chicago, Indiana and Mrs. Delores McLaughlin, Ruston, La. There are five grandchildren; also one brother, Guy Romp of Story City and one sister, Mrs. Larry Doden of Des Moines.
